Abstract
This article explores integrative strategies for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Beyond pharmacological interventions, it emphasizes the importance of lifestyle modifications—including physical activity, dietary adjustments, stress management, sleep regulation, and gut microbiota balance. Aerobic exercise, medical nutrition therapy, stress reduction, chronopharmacology, and microbiota regulation are shown to significantly improve glycemic control and reduce complications. The article also discusses the benefits and limitations of combination drug therapies in the context of T2DM.
