PHYSICAL REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS AFTER HIP JOINT ARTHROPLASTY
Main Article Content
Abstract
Rehabilitation after total hip arthroplasty is a multi-stage, multidisciplinary process aimed at restoring mobility, functional independence, and quality of life in patients after joint replacement. The rehabilitation protocol includes gradual load progression, muscle strengthening, gait re-education, and balance recovery. Early activation under professional supervision prevents postoperative complications such as thrombosis, contractures, and prosthetic instability. Pharmacological correction of bone remodeling processes is particularly important in elderly patients with decreased bone mineral density. A properly structured rehabilitation plan, combined with patient motivation and consistent medical supervision, significantly improves long-term outcomes and facilitates full reintegration into daily and professional activity.
