Materials and Methods:WE take 34 patients (17 with HIV only, 17 with HIV and syphilis). Diagnosis included serological tests and immune status assessment.

Results: Syphilis in HIV-infected patients showed more severe progression, decreased CD4 cell counts, and increased viral load. Latent forms of syphilis were also observed.

Conclusion: HIV and syphilis co-infection leads to more severe disease, increased risk of neurosyphilis, and requires enhanced diagnostics and personalized treatment.
