Abstract

According to the cholinergic hypothesis, Alzheimer's disease develops due to a deficiency of acetylcholine in the brain - a substance that transmits signals between nerve cells.


The most promising approach to studying the cholinergic system is to investigate its pathogenetic development in structurally and functionally significant organs.
